Actually pretty cool for some hippy shit, especially the automatistic strokes. That is one of my favorite calligraphic techniques. They call it Jiggiffication, or at least the Infesticons do.

inman Say hello to Netscape 4.x. That’s what we call the neglected office fern that refuses to pop-off. This used to say “Strange Indeed” but then Netscape 4.x crashed my party—as it often does—so I took an aliased photo of it’s drunken-fern stupor with my run-on prowess.
I think I may have lost my shoe in there too.

I liked the first image very much — neo-hippie-ish. The over-abundance of colors were my only turnoff.
Then next showed me a side of inman that I hadn’t ever seen. Messy and yet clever. I would’ve liked to see the fern a bit more integrated into the ground (or something else equally as aliased to offset the starkness), but I recognize (or I think I do) that it’s an echo of the stylistic treatment of the maze-like lines from the first image.
Then the next image from spiritform just blows my mind in color, simplicity, and type treatment. Bravo. And the pinapple in response to the fern is a fabulous juxt-o-position (what a peculiar word). I have a feeling that inman is gonna have a field day with this image.
Seems like DSNLG is alive again.

I don’t know Mike, I thought that pattern dither on the left introduced enough 8-bit charm to compliment the aliased fern. And like I said, I didn’t invite Netscape—it just showed up.
When I see the aliasing next to the 8-bit dither (which btw, I adore 8-bit dithered palletes…circa mid-90’s with PC gaming Darkseed-style charm), I don’t feel them connect. I would’ve liked to see a dithered pallette with the fern applied as well.
I dunno — the two “halves” of the image just seem really distant. Anyone else? Roosters?

So I just spent two minutes looking for the “fem” in the picture, but no, it was a fern. FERN.

Sorry for the delay spiritform, I’ve got eleventy billion things on my plate right now. The big one is I’m migrating my site over to MT, putting together a portfolio, and updating my personal music catalog. Then there’s some conference thing I was just invited to speak at (more info as that develops). Work is hella busy and this is the month Leslie has off from grad school so she finally has some chill time. Oh and I kind of feel obligated to get back to Lincoln with the next Birds on a Wire image first.
I’m not the only game in town though. I will get back to you but in the meantime maybe some of the other children would like to play? :D

I like how strong this Logue is on the “dia” . There’s some real visual communication going on here. Image 4 is my favorite but I’m also kind of drawn to the thumb for IMG 05. So, are we gonna get to taste some Colt “45” in IMG 6?
