8 letters, 4 words, 2000+ years of implied conflict, I’d say this designologue is off to a great start.

bearskinrug

That’s a nice image, bharper!

Lincoln

wow, B, I think this is my favorite of yours yet. I like how you managed to make several little changes to and around the text, without getting messy. you hit your point quickly and quietly, like the photoshop ninja

jeromius

Excellent use of text and image to support your theme. This is a great image - I look forward to seeing how this will progress.

bharper

wow, guys! thanks! the idea for this one hit me almost instantly when Taco said “good evil” in the conception forum. something about my multi threaded, and pun oriented mind allowed me to see this word play and then all i had to do was visually illustrate the play on words. props to Michaelangelo for the original painting. :)

tacosaurus

Thats tight!

What god could unite the Nazis and the Rastas? What God is this? We ask. The actual god of course. The all knowing All seeing. Omnipotent being. The one and only true living god. God. -gangsters for god God is the Bomb

They certainly have a lot of Volkswagon Beetles in Jamaica. Go figure.

tacosaurus

good ode to the evil devil.

inman

Michaelangelo…doesn’t he work for WeWorkForThem? :P

bharper

it almost looks like a scale, or a balance. the blood, that is. weighing the good on the left, and the evil on the right..

looks like they balance out.

Tacosaurus, I think you’ve got some evil on your upper lip…an evil-mustache… … …

tacosaurus

Sorry, that might have gotten me in trouble with the Freedomolougers out there, but it was intended…. What have I done now? Shit. Now everyone is gonna’ boycott my CD’s. My radio play is gone.

Tacosaurus Wrex into a tree while skiing. sonny ”oh no” bono

bharper

ok. let me just sit with this one for a second. are u intending to say “go evil” if so, i really dig this image alot…

inman

I actually read “Got evil?” hence the references to milk-mustaches…either way, I’m grrlcotting the Tacosaurus Chix. :D

tacosaurus

Your both right. Hooray. My CryptoEbonTron™ Is now obscelete.

bharper

man, its weird. i dont see a mustache. Taco, do u think we should stick with this word pun theme?

tacosaurus

dixie chicks milk moustache. Go wherever the lord taketh. I am obviously the one playing evil here. Strike me down.

who voted the three? Bharper? Striking me down already.

bharper

yeah, taco. it was me. i gave it a three. i love the image, dont get me wrong. but its pulling me into this political/war theme that im not sure i want to deal with.. but alas.. what better way to illustrate good and evil then to show its most modern incarnations…

tacosaurus

Already did the dripping fuel source.

Image Four of course. Duper Super Futuristicistic.

bharper

ok, taco, since we have all beaten this war drum to death.. and the corporate la la crap.. maybe we need to stick to pure old GOOD and EVIL.. i really didnt want this to be about the war.. and i tried my best to make this 3rd image good and not be too much about the war… but you left me little choice… so, we need to decide if we want to go down this path or not.. what do you want to do?

inman

Bang the topical drum, nothing says entertainment/commerce/religion/art like fleeting jargon!

tacosaurus

You could have made little cherubs with clit rings in crotchless lederhosen swarming around my head. It aint like I like the taste.

ps- gave you a four in a duper act.

bharper

yeah, i noticed that taco. thanks.

your speach is dupa hard to figure out.. i gotta read your zaney posts like fit teen times… but once ive got them fingered… its well w0rth the agony.

tacosaurus

Hey what can I say.

My CryptoEbonoTron™ was the cats whiskers.

Till this post started.

bharper

Taco: why did u take the link to the Iraq IQ test down? That was in your face brilliant.

tacosaurus

I am Teasing you people. Making you wander-round-wonderin.

inman

This is choice. A little sensationalism never hurt anybody right? Right???

*Q: Was the U.S and the UK at war with Iraq between Dec 1998 and Sept 1999? A: No

Q: How many pounds of explosives were dropped on Iraq between Dec 1998 and Sept 1999? A: 20 million*

This would be a funny in a SNL skit…if SNL was still funny.

tacosaurus

The fucked up part? It’s true.

RevDrLuv

If by funny you mean really sad and tragic, then yeah.

Hmmm… gosh I jest kant figur out why dem Eye-rack-ees aint welcominen us with open arms?????????

Aarseth

Holy crap, the both of you! I didn’t know you had it in you! This is a remarkable set of images, and drenched in that concept we can’t get enough of. I hope the rest of the ‘Log goes on this strongly.. My only complaint is that it seems to have left the realm of “RELIGION” very rapidly.

Image #3: Ben you didn’t seem to try too hard to keep this cnvs. out of Iraq… I guess you could argue that Iraq / Mesopotamia is the area of origin of the world’s three major religions, and the trouble there today indicates… Whatever you say it does.

bharper

Oh YES. It will go on strongly. Don’t question our “staying power” or our resolution to conquer this log. Our outcome will be victory.

Yeah, i agree. we got away from religion a bit. and moved on to the war. but as the latest incarnation of good and evil being well represented by this war, and both good and evil being present within our theme, we are letting it be for the time being. the war is so pervasive right now.. we all gotta get it out of our subconcious somehow… we are yet to see how taco takes this 4th one.. its up to him to decide if this war is worthy of our religous asperations.

tacosaurus

I was thinking of introducing aliens to the topic. To throw everything off. To introduce a new species which we know nothing of. A species yet to be determined as good or evil. What do you people think? Or would aliens be too cliche for you?

if aliens came, what would that do to religion?

glorymachine

Matthew 24:24 “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.”

tacosaurus

glory speaks the truth. His gun is the bible. His bullet, the verse. Uhhhnggghh. Sha nah nah nah.

bharper

man, i didn’t want to do the war, let alone the aliens. Lets keep this pure, eh?

tacosaurus

Alrighty Bharper. I can respect your non-war-alien stance. So I wont bring anymore aliens up. We will keep it pure good and evil.

bharper

furthermore, can anyone verify that aliens are either good or evil? Do these terms apply to aliens? Lets just keep it on a human level!

2one2

uh?

Aarseth

Wait, like illegal aliens?? Most of the ones I know are pretty nice. Maybe they’re evil though.. I guess everybody’s got a little…

tacosaurus

Where to begin with this one? Well I think I summed up the war in one image. All the conspiracy shit I have been tripping over for years, finally compiled into one big distracting image. All the religion you can handle. Evil hides in the guise of good. Duper Super Futuristicism at its finest. Symbolism for days and days and days and days. If I die today, I can die happy knowing I got all this shit off my chest.

You tell me what you see here. I will write an essay on this picture. I will post this essay in the lounge, so I don’t take up too much space in here.

Keep your comments here though.

bharper

damn taco.. you pinned the tail on the donkey with this one..

its gonna take me a while to sift through all the references and allusions in this one.. but initially, i really like it.

bharper

there are so many tiny and amazing details in this one.. im not sure how much of it you made, and how much of it was in the original stock.. but this is great.

and is that a tella tubby? or a beanie baby.. or some such shit? hhahahaha.. with the weapons behind its back?

my only negative complaint is maybe the difference in stroke between the telle tubby and the rest of the illustrations.. the line quality throws me a whincey bit..

but still.. dope.

tacosaurus

None of it is stock. Most is clip art. I essentially made none of this. It made itself. I call it a Duper Super Futuristicistic Arrangement. That is the only way I can explain it without writing an essay.

bharper

and wtf is up with those jesus fish bumperstickers? i never really understould the connection between jesus, and the fish emblym. can anyone explain that to me?

RevDrLuv

Give the man a fish he will eat for a day, explain to him the meaning behind the jesus fish and he will be driving around staring at the back of cars going “wtf”, for the rest of his life.

tacosaurus

The word for Fish in greek is ICHTHYS. The beginning letters of the following greek words, spells out the corresponding greek phrase, Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour.

Iesus -> Jesus CHristos -> Christ THeou -> of God Yios -> Son Soter -> Saviour.

randy

Also…

The earliest followers of Jesus were persecuted and forced to worship in secret locations. They adopted a secret symbol - the fish.

Often these persecuted Christians scratched the fish symbol on the ground before them to help them identify fellow believers.

The fish symbol transcends differences in cultures and denominations. From generation to generation, the fish symbolizes true followers of Jesus Christ, God’s Son.

CPR for america.

After the dotcom crash and corporate scandalakas, america was in need of “financial resuscitation.“ So what better way to get mad cash? War! Pick up some oil while were there. tacosaurus

Did no one ever think of our current war in Iraq and the one before with Afghanistan as a New Crusade?

fashionvictim

damn, i’m gone for three hours and look what i’ve missed. this is really amazing taco, i give you 4 stars.

tacosaurus

Anyone heard of the Trilateral Commission? What about the good-ole’ Bilderberg Group? What about what about what about what about. Don’t get too informed, it will make you sick.

But enough about all that. That stuff is all mumbo jumbo that I threw into a crockpot with christianity and satanism. Just a good ole witches brew to keep this designologue interesting.

tacosaurus

Are all of you avoiding this topic for a reason? The last post on this was 2:13pm. For some reason, I figured everyone would be all over this picture like flies on shit. Maybe everyone is scared? God knows I am. This shit stresses me out before I even wake up. I am so frustrated with my lack of ability to do anything about it all. It just sickens me to sit back and watch television. I know that I am being polluted with so many ideas that are completely unnatural. Where do I go from here? What the HELL is going on in our world today? Why do I even care? I need to start smoking crack soon! Oh yeah that was invented by our govt. Fuck, they thought of it all. I am resourceless.

Tacosaurus Woes. martial law= no more constitution.

Aarseth

I haven’t rated this image yet.

This may be my all-time favorite DSNLG image, ever! But I will give you a 3 if you can’t deliver a believable explanation of how this fits into the category of religion (you’re gonna have to do better than “There’s a Jesus fish there!”)

— Ah, who am I kidding? Conversations evolve (lord knows mine do), but it just seems like the title is very misleading considering the content.. I mean, if you wanted to do a war ‘Logue, why didn’t you just do that?

Aarseth

Or did you do that already? I thought that Crusader talk was just you running off at the mouth! Honesly, I could probably develop my own religious interpretation of this image (already have, in fact), but I want to know if that was your original intent white creating it. Be honest…

tacosaurus

I have been reading all sorts of prophecy related junk.

One thing in particular that I found interesting, was the amount of christians who devoutly believe we are in the last times. This thing is a regurgitation of everything religious prophecy has to reveal, and it is all about war, globalization, anti-christ, blah blah blah blah. trust me it is religion

So do you people still want the essay? Because I don’t think words do it justice.

If they could it would be a song-> Farmers Market of the Beast

bearskinrug

I think posting an essay would be a good idea. Something to print out. It’s a bit difficult to read in the commentary box…

inman

Post a Word doc - everyone loves those!

bharper

Taco:

Cheer up my brother. All is not lost. It is all to easy to get caught up in the prophetic “wisdom” of the masses.. its all to easy to watch T.V and feel exhausted and useless. I would say, limit your sources of input. Why put “unnatural” crap in your body/mind when you dont have to. In the end, you can only “do” you, so don’t sweat what these fools are doing. If it’s the end of the world, or whatever these prophecies are saying, so be it. Just take care of you, and let the rest do its thing. Im not suggesting you shouldn’t care about the fate of the world, or its people, but dont allow yourself to be wasted by their trash. It’s not worth it.

The world has seen many wars, and their have always been prophets and prophecies. However NEW this all may seem, it’s been done before and it will happen again.

So, we just have to protect ourselves, have compation for the rest, and let it fly.

P.S. I made home made TACO’s for my girlfriend last night. And I thought of you!

:)

bharper

I also sorta agree with Aerseth, that I think this is still more about war then religion, or good and evil. It’s more political then I had imagined. But thats ok. When I originaly posted the theme, i wanted to do a series of logs, about religion, spirtuality, and enlightenment. Of those three, religion is the most secular, so maybe that is the best place for the political end of the spectrum. Politics are in my view, one of the differentiating factors between Religion, and spirituality, or enlightenment.

tacosaurus

Don’t underestimate what I am saying. I know, all too well, the reality I am engaging with. Prophecy is hilarity. Conspiricy is cliché.

“To know that you do not know, is best.” -Lao Tse

I am a Daoist Alchoholic. Gimme’ some credit.

I thought for sure, I would be riding fours on the ratings, but there are neysayers abound. Soothsayers understand this, but it won’t affect their beliefs. Which is why no one has ever predicted the future, but many have tried.

When something steadily hovers over your head, your first reaction is to question. If you are unable to rationalize, you dismiss all sagacity.

You then vote Three, when it was actually a Four. Unfortunately you miss the whole picture.

For all you Haters out there, only God can judge this one. I am either going to Heaven, or limbo for a long time. Because I think Hell is here, on earth, right now.

ANARCHY IN IRAQ! We don’t even have that kind of freedom. As far as Oil goes, well we got that covered now. FREEDOM FRIES FOR FREINDLY GUISE.

Tacosaurus Wrex

tacosaurus

If you don’t believe that this war is about Good and Evil and Christianity and Islam, then the media has done its job. We have been trying to take that land and its resources for years. Sadaam hated us because we are for the most part Jews or Christians. He hated his own people because they didn’t follow his particular sect of Islam. He tortured his people because Allah willed him to punish those who didn’t uphold his goals and values. If that isn’t evidence enough, then you just don’t understand what Religion is all about. Is it not an instrument of control? This is nothing but religious differences justified on paper with political jargon.

Everyone From now on, vote a 1 for this image. You will regret it when the light shines through.

Interesting Hypothesis.

bharper

Get in line!

16 years ago, April 16, 2003
inman

If that isn’t evidence enough, then you just don’t understand what Religion is all about. Is it not an instrument of control?

I would have to disagree, Vin Dieselsaurus. I think it’s roots are in providing “common sense” for those unlucky enough not to possess it naturally: You’re gonna live a lot longer if you play nice with others.

Sure, it is easily abused as thou shalts and thou shalt nots for personal or national gain, but religion as I see it is an outline of conduct that ideally gives everyone equal footing, a fair chance. Respect and understanding. This isn’t always the case at the hands of dictators and presidents, and even the authors of original writings imbibed religion with their own prejudices.

Your perception is your reality. You find what you expect to find. Yes, you Tacrates, can see Jesus in bag of Dorrito™ Brand Tortilla Chips.

I’m not even religious, I go to a Big Grey church where every day is Sunday.

bharper

The problem is not religion. The problem is that people lack perspective. My main problem with religion is that it often forces unnatural boundries between people. I am a christian, you are a muslim. For example. It is fine to be different, but apearantly some people dont get it. They see differences as a threat to who they are. Even religions like Bahai’sm that promote the unity of all religions, seem to insist that you convert to the Bahai faith. It all seems like kindergarden playground antics to me. We can all be friends if your my friend first and formost. Its just childish ignorance.

So, guess you guys dont like my new image much? Its not quite as polished as i would have liked, but I think the concept is funny and I had a great time working on this one.

Let me know what you think.

tacosaurus

I am sorry, but every time I hear George W. Bush speak. He mentions God, and I want to throw up. Is this natural.

bharper

haha.. your funny Taco. Yes, it’s natural to feel ill when you hear a man, supposedly your superior, speak like a child.

bearskinrug

It is a funny image bharper - I do wish it was a bit more cohesive. Perhaps if the texture in the the man and the Good/Evil meter was brought into the background?

What particular aspect about Bush mentioning God makes you want to throw up, taco?

inman

Is that the machine from BIG? ;D I like the technique but I think hand-crafted type would have fit the image better.

Is that Dubbya approaching with a freshly minted dime?

bearskinrug

What I mean to ask, taco, is what fires you up? His referencing a supposedly good ideal, or the supposedly good ideal itself?

creighton

bearskin: I believe it’s similar to the likes of looking at our bills and reading “In God we trust”…it makes me cringe a bit.

America, of all countries, represents a very diverse group of people with all sorts of beliefs. I, for one, do not trust in a god. And when Bush gets up and brings religion into the matter, he is obviously bringing an alliance of a majority of America along with him by simply uttering the words “God bless us.”

If he is a representative of the people, then a religious standpoint should not become voiced in any of his speaches. Very similar to the idea of the separation of church and state within the public schooling system. Right?

bearskinrug

Sorry - creighton - i was changing my post while you posted…

I agree with your point. I was just trying to get a better understanding of Taco’s view on religion.

bharper

well, thats the whole point. bush is trying to erase the seperation of church and state. there is some new book coming out that is all about it… i should find the link.

about the image:

hand made text. when i first drew the picture, i had my own handwriting. but i had to resize the drawing to make it work, so, the handwriting was not legible. sorry :(

and yes, that is Dubya, coming to find the truth in the year 2006, after he has realized what a complete lunatic he is and finding himself alone in the desert with the GodMachine.

what is inchoherent in this image? It seems pretty clear to me.

bharper

i guess, the problem with the image is the lack of cohesion between the hand drawn sections and the digital sections.. its hard to make something look realistic and not cheezy in photoshop for ME sometimes… if any one has suggestions, let me know.

GOD BLESS!

RevDrLuv

This war is NOT about a conflict of religion… but GOD is on our side!!!

What we are engaged in is a crusade, but we like to think of it as a missionary expedition. It is not about Christianity vs. Islam as we know them. But rather what they have evolved into. We believe in our ideals and way of life so strongly that we don’t see it as religion. We see it as truth.

Globalization brings salvation, as long as we all live and act the same way.

RevDrLuv

Can I geeet an Ammmeeeen!!!!!!!

inman

If I wanted your religion I’d ask for it.

bharper

oh shit. dr. rev. luv, im not sure if those are pro or con statements..

kinda scary if you want us all to be the same..

this one time, i went to 7eleven, and got some white bread. it tasted good. it was all bleached. and had no nutritional value. but it was so white. and pure. and i just wish all bread could be like that.

bearskinrug

Man, this is one long commentary…and there’s 3 images left. Is this the record-holder, inman?

bharper

3 images left… i can’t waite till we get to spirituality. who wants to tackle that one? Taco are u gonna go the full three?

bearskinrug

The full three? You guys got enough material for another 8…

bharper

no, im refering to my intention of doing 3 seperate logs, starting with this one.

Religion, Spirituality and Enlightenment.

bearskinrug

Ah - alright then.

(bearskinrug sits down, prepares to watch more rip-roaring logging)

tacosaurus

Bearskin:

It makes me ill to see a man who upholds no firm belief in God, make references to such a divine source of inspiration.

Read This PLEASE This is the transcript to the new GNN movie. Aftermath 9/11.

Then maybe we can discuss, what God George W. Bush is referring to when he uses such a powerful word. Because I seriously doubt that the real God is behind that man.

bharper

i agree taco for the most part.. i think you get yourself in trouble when you start deciding who’s god is real, and who’s god is false. i think god is behind all man, even bush. thats what makes god great. that doesnt mean that bush is doing the right thing. to the contrary. god loves people who do wrong just as much as he loves those who do right.

on a different front. i was feeling pretty good, but i just turned on the TV (big mistake) to “relax” and found myself suddenly anxious and upset after a brief encounter with FOX. Jesus…

Fox Msnbc Cnn

It read, LAPD confirms Rodney King crashed into a house at 100+mph while driving an SUV.

The man had a race riot named after him, now he is out there crashing into peoples houses in a fucking SUV none the less. It was bad enough when he was crashing into our houses via LAPD Beatdown Cam.

I LOVE AMERICA.

glorymachine

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)

“…the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (I John 1:7).

“We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America”. (Preamble, US Constitution)

www.theusconstitution.com/ — “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”. (First Amendment, Bill of Rights) — Just thought I would add some documentation to liven things up a bit and to provide logic and fact. Our Constitution was founded so that we should promote liberty and freedom. It is funny to me how some people claim to hate “corporate America”, when they own a computer. I mean it was Bill Gates and or Steve Jobs that said they wanted a computer in every home in America. What about that? Are we digital designers not products of the Beast? As technology advances, do we not become fatter and less intelligent? I have heard according to a theory called evolution, we should be getting smaller and our brains growing larger. I think I see the opposite at hand when there are so many people overweight and with no use of intelligence. We fill our minds each day with useless junk. Over 500 channels of TV and trillions of websites to view. Not to mention printed media as well as billboards and ads on buses. Where is my mind?

Does the President of the United States not have the same rights to the Constitution as we the people? He has not mandated any religion to be practiced by all. He has not passed a law stating that everyone has to practice Christianity.

When Clinton cheated on his wife and had oral pleasures performed on him, did that make it a law for every man in America to cheat on his own wife?

I think the argument at hand is just the fact that we own have to figure out where we stand before God and that is scary.

“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)

I am not preaching, just quoting the most recognized pieces of literature in history on which I base my own beliefs. You alone will have to make your own decisions.

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear”. (Matthew 11:15)

Bharper is right - God does love us all, it is the sin that seperates us from His side.

-courtesy of www.m-w.com sin - 2b: a vitiated state of human nature in which the self is estranged from God

If all have sinned against God then who is to stand and say that any other man is a sinner or that he/she will not pass judgement. God will be the judge and not any man.

I can keep going, but this is getting too long. I did not want to sit back on this DSLNG and not say anything.

Hope you enjoy. I know that religion and politics in some countries is not allowed to be spoken of in public so this DSLNG was only asking for it.

creighton

The GNN transcript has completely leveled me.

I think I can sum it up. This has already happened.

THE COLD WAR and the RED SCARE

Did I go too fast for you dino? And yes I read your thingee, do you want a dino treat now?

I think you are too worked up dude.

tacosaurus

nah man, I thought you got pretty worked up. What you talkin bout’ Willis?

That wasn’t my thingy, and that would mean you didn’t read it.

read it.

glorymachine

Uh, yeah

I read it, and?………….

Did you not get what you wanted with this DSNLG, is that why you are angry?

Aarseth

It’s funny to me how this ‘Logue turned out to be about politics, and all the religion is in the sidebar, almost as an afterthought!

The fact that we live in a country that celebrates freedom of speech and religion means that any one here can go around preaching what they believe (as many of us have today) and that includes our President. If he wants to end every frickin speech with “May God continue to bless America,” that’s his right as an American.

But to critique.. Great illustrations on #5, bharper. I’m not sure what it is that makes the man W, but it’s him alright… Maybe it’s the hair, maybe it’s the hat… I’ve never actually seen him wear one, but I can’t really picture him without it..

creighton

The point is this: for Bush to even bring God into any of his speaches is simply a means of rallying support for his actions and the consequences that we all will have to endure. By stating a belief in and trust in God, he has suddenly identified with a majority of the US’s population, on a very low common denominator. It subconsciously (or consciously) enforces a certain amount of sided identification with Bush…

The same with me saying:

I like such-n-such music.

If you like such-n-such music, a certain amount of comraderie suddenly forms…kinda gets you listening and taking me more seriously…because you have suddenly identified with me.

I feel Bush is using God as a tool to assist in public support and backing for decisions he makes — not explicitly…but on a much lower level…

He needn’t bring up God or religion really. Is this part of what you’re bringing out, Taco?

creighton

Aarseth —

Yes, Bush has a right as an individual to express his religious beliefs. But, recognize that he is a public figure representing the United States of America.

For him to show partiality to a religious belief, and through speech, essentially express a belief that engulfs all of us under an umbrella…well, I find that offensive and inappropriate on his part. I simply do not think that is something that he needs to bestow upon an entire nation…especially a nation that believes (or disbelieves) in many gods.

RevDrLuv

What I said before, waay up there, was meant to be sarcasm. I was commenting on how Bushykins says repeatedly that the war isn’t about religion, and then at the end of his speaches he says over and over that “God is on our side”.

If god is picking sides then how is it not about religion????

tacosaurus

Angry?

Who said I was angry? I may sound angry sometimes, but that is because I am a dinosaur. Come here, get a lil’ closer… that’s it… don’t be scared… Just a lil bit closer…(Glorymachine cowers in fear)…(shaking timidly)… Tacosaurus leans in with a psychotic snear on his face… (cuts back to Glorymachine)…(slowly raising his arms in fear)…Tacosaurus moves in swiftly with his head bending forcefully back, the left hand of Glorymachine thrown out of the way by his might…(a kiss)…The Tacosaurus plants a sweet kiss while ole Glory’ stands, eyes closed, tear trail on cheek…it was a moving moment for all who witnessed.

Nuthin but love for you baby. In case you have not figured it out. I am 100% Sarcasm + 100% Egotism. I am FRONTING MEGA HARDCORE. I do it only on this site though. In Fact I am not even a real dinosaur. In reality I am 100% White Trash. I make stained glass windows for churches and residencies. Well versed in the arts and/of/with being a dumbass, and just tired of my daily routine. So I escape to here, where I take on the role of the bad HipHop promoting dinosaur from Mexico. I make everything on here for PARODY purposes only. I make fun of myself, so you don’t get a chance to. Although the music IS really good IF you know where it is coming from, history wise. I am going to write a book on my version of HipHop (sounds so cliché). It is going to make me absolutely no money, because nobody will read it. What does some white boy know about some hiphop? Well, I think I know more black history, than most of the black people around where I live…. but only in HipHop form. “All I see is broke MC’s with gold collars.”(-awolrus). Well Been listening since I was eight, thought I Was Tougher Than Leather. Caught that De La-Tribe vibe, and was off from there.

In person, I am like this whole other being. I made this Tacosaurus character up as an artistic experiment. It is modern day performance art, live in the making, at its best. I published my Manic Feast Yo (manifesto), here. Any thing you say or do, can, and will be made fun of. Even if it is in all honesty and ernst. I will make fun of it. But only so your scabs grow back a little thicker. Take it easy. And go for a drive through the mountains. They are an hour north, max, from atlanta. Breathe some of my air. Share life and love. And lets all Designologue in harmony.

Any Tacosaurus Character Witnesses, please rise.

Peace. Tacosaurus Wrex

p.s. You must of been the one to give it a three. wink. Who loves you baby?

bharper

haha.. Taco.. your too much! Atleast you know who it was now!

I have a question. Does the president of the united states have the right to use his position (this is not sarcatic or implicative..just a straight question) to do what he believes right? Even if it does not represent the entire population? I mean, I guess, the deal is once we vote for him, he gets to do pretty much what he wants… even if we think it’s fucked up. I hope we bring our dinasoaurs to the voting booth next time around… for christ sake.

And also, I think there is some confusion about this “in god we bless..” stuff.

when i was young, i said the pledge, it made me feel nice. NO BIG DEAL. im sure clinton said in god we trust once in a while, it didn’t bother me then. I always believed that america was mostly a NON pious country.

But, now, Bush is saying the same old lines. Which do stem from our history. But they have a whole new meaning. And to me the meaning or the message is, We need to purify the world in gods name. Now, that might sound a bit extreme, but I dont think its far off. So many republicans call into our local 96.9 talk fm channell. they are alwas talking about who’s “next on the list” SERIA, RUSSIA, N. Korea, and then they go, like.. GERMANY, FRANCE.. and im just like, these people have LOST THEIR MINDS.. I mean, Afghanastan is one thing, Iraq something a bit more removed, but for that train of thought to end with European allies.. its INSANE.

So, to get back to the confusion of God bless america v.s. GOD SAVE the planet in the name of America.. or whatever..

I think it’s important to realize bush is just as religously motivated as all of these quote on quote Islamic Extremeists. In fact, bush may be the most extreme of them all. When saddam kills, it is obvious that it’s wrong. When bush does it, he hides behind his power and the long standing history of the U.S.

I mean, it must be his fucking dream come true. He gets all the oil, and makes god happy too, by purifying the world.

I dont know what to say…

bharper

inman :: you could publish all this some day. make a book. sell it and share the profits will all the loggers…

hehee..

inman

Whoa. The confession of a guerilla dinosaur (very heartfelt but I’m not sure if I believe the whole White Trash thing though - you could still be mocking yourself).

The verbose and appreciated return of GloryMachine (me, I have no religious affiliations or predispositions but I ate up your discourse, Glory). I’m glad/hope that you both read ALL of each other’s posts because if you did you’ll find that you truly had a moment.

I think this conversation has warranted multipage commentary. Sorry, I won’t be able to get to that until after this weekend. I’m off to read the GNN transcript.

tacosaurus

President: in time of war? Commander in Chief. It takes one little signature to declare martial law. Then FEMA will be taking over from there. It is really scary to think about, but deal with it. We are all trapped in the same experiment. Just in different regions. America has been divided and divided and divided we stand divided we fall.

Former pres George Bush said it bestest. “We have a real chance at this New World Order. An order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promiss and vision of the U.N.’s founders.” And that goal is Novus Ordo Seclorum? Wait what? Conspiracy is so cliché, especially when it is rooted 100% fact.

Keep it real Bharper. We are knowing what this means. Others step up and try to Rep. Fails in comparison. Reality Sucks.

Tacosaurus Treatch. ps. I read all that glory wrote, he got hostile. I hope I cooled him out a bit. And I am not too proud to say that I am WHITE TRASH.

inman

I think Taco is a black turtleneck-wearing yuppie. white trash doan’af no DSL or no Cable - an ah know you ain’t comforably browsin’ this site on no damn dial-up ;D

Regardless I’m not faulting you if you are. One of my favorite front men could be considered white trash: Matt Mahaffey of Self. Of course, now he’s off living it up in California…

bharper

so, if I have dsl, that means im not white trash? hehe..

Innman, you know where bay village is? There’s no white trash here.. just SUV’s and Poodles…

glorymachine

Honestly man (tacosaurus), I was not trying to come across hostile or anything. I just wanted to add to the comments, that is all. I am sorry that I came across that way if that is so. I want to say thanks again for the kiss, except, next time, don’t scare me like that….lol Can somebody get me a hanky?

It is all in good fun and in learning. I mean. This website is not just about design. It is also about learning new things and interacting with a community of people from all over the world. That is what I like. So to reiterate, I was just adding some quotes to help the comments along, not necessarily to convince anyone of any certain idea or concept. I wanted everyone to take from it what they wanted.

The aftermath transcript was interesting I must say. I thought it interesting how it mentioned Clinton in links to the Taliban. I was trying to find info on that some months ago. I heard something on Fox News or something during the USS COLE when it was hit and how Clinton was linked to the Taliban way back then. Hmmm….

Looking forward to seeing where the next image is going to go Del Tacosaurus Rex-Luther.

tacosaurus

Actually Inman, I gave you my whole story The cat is out of the bag. This is me at my job with their crappy website. Peep my shirt, the hot shit, salt shakers gettin’ tipped. And what about that middle finger hanging out in the second picture. Funny shit. Savannah. Dirty South. Dirty Southern Regions. Fuckin-Aye. GA.

Tacosaurus FLEX.

glorymachine

Dude, was that finger on purpose in the second picture? Nice…. Hope the boss does not notice that one.

Oh yeah, nice work. That is some really cool stuff. I am sure that it is hard on the hands at times.

inman

Is that a Playboy bunnie tat I spy on the meat between thumb and index of your left hand? You ARE white trash! ;D

tacosaurus

Yeah, I just noticed that. I didn’t even realize that I cut glass like that. I have a tattoo of a guy smoking crack on my leg. That is the least of my worries.

The fifth picture was funny. My boss told me to do something. So I toook a wire brush and crashed it into the lead, bending and mangling it all messed up. It cost him though, whoops. My boss gets mad love though. He shot some dude for breaking into a neighbors car. Dude limped off, and he tried to deny that he had been shot when the cops showed up.

Tacosaurus…works for the church?…twisted plots. keepin’ it realer than SCIENCE.

inman

I’ll pay to fly Ben Harper to Savannah so Taco can learn him the art of stained glass window-making and have a full blown stainedglassologue in a downtown historic Savannah church of my choosing…

Bay Village…doesn’t ring a bell. I’ve been a country mouse for the past 5 years (in Savannah actually). I only venture into Boston, or Southy rather, for St. Patricks day and other occasions to hang with my Philly Boo, Franc. What a mess that was. Some pissed mc (I use that term endearingly) two cars behind threatened to kill me for holding up BUMPER-TO-BUMPER TRAFFIC by asking for directions to Forest Hills. I laughed and inched forward.

Lincoln

damn you fools…I go to work for 5 hours and come back to a frickin novel

tacosaurus

I still don’t see how this dsnlg is gettin lowlife reviews. We have kept it congruent as fuck. Glory, Call off all the haters! This shit is bumpin’ hardcores. Sound like a pitbull stuck in the trunk!

inman

Don’t sweat the ratings Funny-yet-to-be-discovered-dig- at-Taco’s-bones, they don’t sweat you. Besides, 3.2-ish isn’t quite lowlife.

bharper

I was in savanah once. Chilled with some kids from the art school there… we lived in this sketchy grey building, kiddy corner to this big park with lots of grass and some famous fountains… for me, savanah was like a dose of acid.. i couldn’t get my bearings straight… i didnt see anyone walking leashes with no dogs, or any such bizarness… but it was still wild… there were gun shots outside our door and we all just sat inside in the dark listening to Kid A, which was brand new at the time… we ate breakfast in that famous diner from the movie Midinight In the garden of GOOD AND EVIL.

I remember also, some sort of boardwalk. we walked down to the water, there was some cobblestone walkway, that bent around to the waterside and that was cool.

Is that the savanah you guys know?

bharper

P.S. im gonna go put on the only rap album i own and blast it throughout downtown boston for you Taco..

dirty south, Aquemini…

inman

Yeah, you’re talking Forsyth Park, Savannah College of Art and Design and River Street. How long were you there?

RevDrLuv

Well, I will have you know that there was a video circulating around the local news stations (none of which had the balls to show it of course) of the wife of the owner of Clary’s (that famous diner you speak of) in the restaurant shooting at rats the size of small dogs with a shotgun. The infestation problem they have is sick, if you ever come back for a visit NEVER eat there. The owner is a real ass anyway.

Savannah has been like a prolonged acid trip for me as well. Only I think it is because the mold and pollen (this is one of the worst places in the country for it). It sends my sinus’s into a frenzy and I am always a little dizzy and have a headache.

bharper

yeah, Forsyth, thats the one. I was there for 3 days. Did a 24 hour non stop drive down, and back with a friend. The low hanging moss on the trees was wild…. but there was some cool people down there… minus all the gunshots..

the house was on the far end of the park.. like, if you walked from River st. through the park, and then went to the right, out the farthest right most corner of the park, two blocks up. It was long, and grey and had no windows and seeemed to seperate the nice area from the ghetto area.

and i think the sinus is certainly an important organ.. when i smoke to many cigarettes, i get awfull sinus headaches.. oh man.. the sinus of it all. haha..

bharper

oh, yeah. and i remember a coffee shop that we went to. it was fairly hip and trendy, with mostly college age kids.. if you walked from my grey house down towards river st. but not that far down, and took a left for a few blocks, and then a right… there was a cute cafe with chairs outside. inside it was dark, like in a basement.. they had nice large pieces of lumber and low ceilings.. i ordered a Tea.

and I think on the way to the coffee shop there was some sort of sandwich shop, or pizza joint. It was a concrete facade, that had been painted. like, maybe blue and orange.

man, what odd things we remember. I have some photo’s from that trip some where.. ill try and dig them up.

RevDrLuv

Are you sure you were not just dropping acid when you were down here? You decribe your visit like you would a dream. Yeah the cute cafe you speak of is gallery expresso. no. 200: emoticons :)

I am not sure about the sandwich shop. Could be many places. Probably Eggbert’s, though it is gone now.

bharper

well, it was a dream. i mean, we drove straight, we didnt sleep much.. it was my first experience with the south.. it was all just very different.. and i tend to experience life as if i was on acid, wether i am on acid or not.

i found some pictures.. ill post the link in a sec.

bharper

ok, here are some photos from Savannah. I guess these will seem like everyday life to you all who live there.

Let me know if you recognize any of these cats, or if you recognize the street we stayed on. There’s a pic of us walking away from our house, the one with three people, one with a red dog leash. Savannah

inman

Pizza place - the Mellow Mushroom. You probably walked past Aarseth’s old apartment on Oglethorpe (he may have even been living there at the time). Clary’s on Habersham, Rev? Have you ever eaten at Bella’s? If you’ve heard bad about it keep it to yourself, I don’t want to lose my one fond memory of food in Savannah. They had the best manicotti…

bharper

that sounds about right Inman. Oh, yeah, and there was like a Mcdonalds or wendy’s on the strip over near that yellow building..

we ate there too.. but i dont think they served rat.

RevDrLuv

Was Mellow Mushroom there back then? Maybe it was.

Bella’s is good. It’s like the only cheap italian we have in this town that isn’t a big chain. Mmmmmm… manicotti

They don’t serve the rats. The rats are fellow patrons, you eat with them.

We have gotten pretty far off track compared to what we were discussing yesterday.

bharper

I think it’s fairly cute, ironic, and on track to be making geographical discoveries about Savannah in a dsnlg about GOOD and EVIL… hehe..

but, seriously, i appreciate getting to hear, learn, and share personal info with you all. makes me all warm inside…

bharper

a fellow mentions a warm feeling and the conversation just dries right up..

TACO:: make another image quick before my ratings go down to nill.

bearskinrug

bharper:

While this image has a great concept, I do feel it is unfinished. The texture in Bush and the Good/Evil Meter could have been brought into the fields of color in the background. As it stands now, it looks as though all you did was drop two drawings onto the background. Maybe even if the shadow was crosshatching, and the cordons (is that what they’re called?) had a similar texture the elements would work together better.

Also, it looks like you accounted for posts in the cordon, but didn’t add them in. Right now they’re defying gravity.

As for the text on the box, if the Good and Evil were skewed to the right, they might sit on the board better.

I apologize if you were waiting on me for an explanation, but I did think you answered your own question.

bharper

waite… what now? who’s defying gravity? i dont know what a cordon is. but just tell me again whats missing.

bharper

oh, shit.. you mean the thing that connects the red rope to the poles?

bharper

I did just drop 2 drawings onto the background. but, i also made the background. but, yeah, i agree that i could have worked the textures of the diferent elemnts a bit better.. you know, its so hard to see soemthing fresh after working on it for so long.. your mind gets all warped.. plus, i just didnt have time to spend days on this..

bearskinrug

Well, it looks like two extra poles are missing.

I hear ya. When your into an idea, It’s hard to step back and see it. Did you feel that way with your first two images? They’re very successful examples of combining different elements…

tacosaurus

This post has over a hundred responses. WTF.

What did you people think of that transcript? scary huh?

bharper

well, for the first one, i was just in the zone. god was guiding my hand. and plus, theres no hand drawn elements in there.. except the blood..and even that i dont think is that good.. the second one was just easy too.. not much to it..

as far as my own artistic vision.. the third one is really where i want to go.. i like the idea of creating un real environments and making them seem realistic.. unfortunately, it takes a while to make them seem realistic.. but, no there are no poles missing. atleast not in my mind. the ropes just go off the page..

bharper

cordon?

do you mean, like to cordon off a certain section of area? like, hey, lets cordon of this field so the cows dont get lost? maye thats what you mean..

bharper

Main Entry: 2cordon Function: transitive verb Date: 1561 : to form a protective or restrictive cordon around — usually used with off

___________________________________________

The U.S. Secret Service in tandem with Bush’s Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) established an unprecedented system of checkpoints and a militarized security cordon around all of Pennsylvania Avenue.

bharper

or maybe you meant corral:

Main Entry: 1cor·ral Pronunciation: k&-‘ral, -‘rel Function: noun Etymology: Spanish, from (assumed) Vulgar Latin currale enclosure for vehicles, from Latin currus cart, from currere to run — more at CAR Date: 1582 1 : a pen or enclosure for confining or capturing livestock 2 : an enclosure made with wagons for defense of an encampment

bharper

hey Glory machine, ill see you at the corral tonight, OK?

tacosaurus

I have some funny ideas for the next response… Lets see where this one goes… huh huh huh.

Aarseth

Wow, you really can’t turn your back on this site for a minute! I check the site about once a day, and it took me 20 minutes to read everything here!

Nice Savannah pics, Ben.. it really brought me back.

Tacos… Tribe kicks ass.. And I’m going to read that transcript before I go to bed.

So much I want to comment on that’s just not relevent at this point. Very frustrating, so I thought I’d add to the clutter of this post. ;D

bearskinrug

Perhaps I meant, velvet rope. I could of sworn it was called a cordon…
