Designologue
So glad I finally get to vote on this.
Nice work, really has a antique yard sale feel to it,and without a Grassy lawn. give ya 64 cent for the girl in the blue skirt!
wow this is really bizarre.
looks like something you’d see on the regridgerator of that ‘really weird guy” from the supermarket
the $.99 stickers are a nice touch - curious to see which where this leads to =)
The addition of the sea and sky blue from the shoddy clipping mask on the boat really makes the image “pop.” (There’s a kitschy expression for you.)
Pop!
Nice! Love the colors and contrast!
I’m curious where you got the image on the left; the kid and skirted woman?
looks great lincoln!
isn’t there another logue somewhere with a kid looking up a woman’s skirt?
cjw- i got that from some site that had a bunch of pictues of mod-ed out homes from the 60s and 70s…it was a while back so i don’t remember specifically (i think coudal had the link)
zdoob- probably… like the madonna and child, its a timeless image
zdoob, you’re probably thinking of one of lincoln’s one-off images of the same, um, image. ;) (Not that there’s anything wrong with using a one-off as the initial image)
inman: nope…
the only thing harder than finding that image was finding the logue in the “link to designologue” dropdown!
Lincoln Inspires… say no more
oh shit, i forgot about that logue.
its good stuff. I’m glad you hunted it down. actually kinda resembles mine past the obvious perv kid. I probably subconsciously stole it snootch
didnt you do this like a billion years ago?
oh i wasn’t trying to imply that there was any correlation other than that i had seen a kid taking a peek on this site before. i think the two images are WAY different.
i agree with inman about the “shoddy” clipping mask. it really kicks it up a notch.
(leave it to inman to use the word shoddy)
:p
Hehe, I didn’t mean that in a critical way—I mean, we’re talking about kitsch here. I wouldn’t expect (or accept) anything better than shoddy.
You’ve been warned Dan ;)
Mallficia?…Sketchygirl and I went to the mecca of garage sales yesterday and got some goodness. Missed out on a giant tuna for the wall though…very upsetting.
If a giant tuna doesn’t show up somewhere in this ‘logue I’m going to be very disappointed.
sigh
sorry B, guess I shoulda done this with you
everything old is new again.
I’m thinking about kitsch, clutter, and yard sales.
Mallficia, I don’t wanna say ‘anything goes’ but bring whatever you want to this.
