Designologue
awesome. I was wondering what happened to you.
sorry lincon =p I haven’t checked my email recently ;) but I won’t be late again! :P
Cool man. I don’t know what to say about it but I like it.
I think, with the help of rushers comment, this first IMG is just great. This, to me, is a nice depiction of the Sega Game Gear as a ghost, thus being a dead generation.
My wife had (still has, actually) an SGG and I remember the feeling I had seeing video game technology advance as it had. I was saddened to see the SGG fade away like it did. I am glad, however, that Sega opted to go solely into developing games when their console development was proving unsuccessful. Its that kind of attention to the concept of generation (with regard to SGG having a very specific time period) that draws me into this DSNLG.
Theres a lot of potential with this logue and I look forward to its growth.
Lovely piece! Very clean and neat. I like it a lot (maybe it’s because I’m a swede. We’re supposed to like minimalistic style, they say… :) ). Just to be picky though: I’d write Game over as two words. Or is there a meaning that I missed here?
I didn’t use two words in game over because my intention was to keep a continuity and a clean style that I thought if the two words were separate words, that objective would not be accomplished. ;)
I like this image, clean and minimal.
The only thing i would say that throws me off abit is the blue outline around it. It seems to be a two colour blue intersecting each other. What was the intention of this?
I just think it would have looked better one colour rather than that weird effect.
inVZbl you are right it is a weid effect : my mistake, when converting Vectors from illustrator to pixels in photoshop, and I didn’t noticed till u tell me, oh well ;) mistakes happen.
- just a quick comment on my image, I decided not to grab on Lincon’s image cos we would be wasting a good conversation around the “machine” itself and going away from generations, so instead I grabbed the “theme” that lincon created about violence.
like it, free form, crisp and the colour contrasts well…
But what is birds now. I see them in every design lately. Birds are the new black. What’s the bird mean in this one ?
that is not a common bird, it’s a crow, that many times is associated with “darkness” and things related, here I used it to give that symbolism to the image , like a premonition of bad things to happen ;)
and I didn’t have time to get any feedback on numba 2. did the thumb people come through?
see, its not just a bad drawing. its a bad drawing with thumb people!
umm..very nice….I really like the flow in these pictures.
I really like the transition in here. wonder how will this goes?
Lincoln, may be it’s time for you to work on the trip ^_
this generation is lost…
