what is more fun than clowns, donkeys and cats? i mean, really.
oh and um photoshop brushes, they’re fun too.
Okay, cmon…heavy, please dont take this as a personal attack, but this is pretty lame. The composition wants for any kind of hierarchy or visual direction, all the fuzzy edges suggest amateurish Photoshop clipping, the dirty brushes are used tactlessly (a popular crime which has rendered them all too familiar around these parts lately), and the image, as a collection of disparate elements, generally communicates nothing. About the only thing it has going for it is the color scheme (minus the inexplicable blue/violet pattern suspending the middle cat), which seems arbitrary anyway.
Again, I say all this not to offend, but hopefully to be enlightened as to how and why this image came about.
cowpie, no offense taken.
but imagine. in looking at this image, could any of this be serious? you didn’t think so, did you?
As much as we’ve seen dirty brushes on this site, you have to admit their use is getting more and more subtle! My favorite is the siamese cat dirty brush!
heavy: Certainly I didn’t expect this image was intended to be taken seriously. I know everyone has their own approach to their contributions to this site, but the name Designologue does imply the expectation that submissions somehow acknowledge established design principles. It seemed to me that this image made little or no attempt to do that, so I decided to call you on it.
fully understood. perhaps my own sarcasm only satisfies myself. by attempting to undermine design, aren’t we in fact designing?
or thoughtlessly dropping images onto a canvas into a terrible mess, ya know, whatever you want to call it.
I actually enjoy the sillyness of the thoughtless dropping of images on this, except for those two strips of the blue/grey and magenta pattern. What is that? With blurred edges?
Nothing says fun like beer, women, and donkeys.
nice kevin, i like it man. you stuck to how i introduced the dsnlg to you. i love it. really, what better way to have fun as a 6 year old? peekin up skirts while clowns on donkeys bring it up from the rear, wait, scratch that last part, i mean clowns bring the beer. yeah, that’s what i meant.
pardon the pun, but are we the clown princes of designologue?
huh huh huh.
On a really campy note, anybody remember the Tom Hanks’ dive Splash? Him and John Candy dropping pennies as prepubescent panty peakers. Chuckle…
I would totally look up John Candy’s skirt!
As I was cleaning up that image I was playing that movie in my head
man, this is so cool… reminds me of that dave mathews song… its like, a dream cum true…
That was bad.
Man, this image brings back a lot of memories…
