Designologue

Have you ever seen a more pathetic-looking gator in your life?
I can honestly say no. :D
What’s that script face Chris, I know it…Porcelain? Selfish?
Inman, it’s definitely one of those two…and they come from recife over at Misprinted Type
I knew you’d know it.. Selfish is the correct answer.
Thanks for clarifying selfinduced. I’d hate it if my work was attributed to someone else. Thanks for the link too.
I used one of those two faces for the final image of Computation as well as somewhere else but I’m drawing a blank…
This is hysterical. I can’t believe I am saying this, but that alligator is so cute.
That’s too funny. They even put duct tape over the poor guy’s eyes!
Very cool gator head icon in that bottle.
you should see some of the stuff the Alligator Mafia did to this other croc! Man, ductape is the least of it. We are talking cowboy boots and wallets.
glad you like that little logo, probably the highlight of the image.
But that narrative style is a comfortable old hat ;D
Both this designologue and Holy Men have taken the designologue out of the computer. Nice!
my skin is getting dry, waiting for the next image..

I have to admit, I was a bit stumped by your last image. But here, finally, is my response. I thought I’d take this into a different direction.. Away from the gators.
yeah, i guess i dropped the ball on that last one. i saw that you had done some more manual work on the one before that, and just wanted to try my hand at some freehand drawing… anyway.. sorry!
No worries.. Let’s see if we can’t turn this beast around!

well, i didnt get to add any images to the pro war campaign.. and im pretty sick of all this dry skin.. so i thought id take a second and poke a little fun..

It’s time to put this monster to rest. I wanted to wrap up the theme by bringing it back to the beginning, while still incorporating Ben’s last [outta left field] approach.
It might have been nice if I could have incorporated an alligator in there somehow, but it’s probably best that I didn’t.
is that charlie sheen?.. nice finish aerseth.. im happy to put this one to rest..
Something really bothers me about this image. And it’s not the jumbled way Photoshop handles subtle rotation of unrasterized text…I think that maybe the soldier’s expression is too real to be making light of.
The image reminds me of the Moderately Popular Kid picking on the already socially-wounded geek who’s just taken a beating by Mr. Popular. The crowd is empathizing with the loser until MPK comes along with a cheap shot. Instead of everyone hating Mr. Popular for starting the entire thing, MPK bears the brunt of the crowd’s ire.
This image, to me, is the Moderately Popular Kid.
And that’s no judgement on you Aarseth, just the hinky vibe I’m getting from the image.
That’s an interesting vibe you’re getting, Inman..
The picture actually came from MSNBC’s Images of War, or whatever the hell they’re calling it. It was taken on the day that they were having all those sandstorms, so this guy actually is down because of dry, irritated skin.
Of course, I don’t know what the social atmosphere is like at the base camp, so maybe we’re both right! ;D
And the text thing… That was actually like that before I rotated. I think it’s just a sloppy mask from when I put a a slight texture on it. Laziness prevented me from fixing it before, but it’s bothering me now..
you have a subtle eye, inman. i had the same thought about the text.. and i agree entirely with your “vibe.” this soldier is no typical soldier. he looks like maybe he’s a communications or technology expert, not a gunman.
Well, here is my first dsnlg. The image that popped into my head thinking about “dry skin” is probably based on that old dry skin commercial with the aligator. But this image is sort of a humorous adaptation for the poor aligator who goes to google in search of skin products.
