Bringing it all together, nice. Wait is that a toaster oven?

clevsone

Cant wait to see how you tie in the baby… its just the first thing that popped in my head when you said for future people…. sorry to disappoint you it’s just an old school TV…

I think I’ll have to make it a toaster oven next time..and put your image on a slice of bread…make a sandwich out of it… and eat it…

Beerad

Shouldn’t it be about the music?

Beerad

Well the Baby was to much for me. Now it is time to grow up and enter the digital world.

Beerad

Come on, Whats with the lack of feedback? Can only do better work when people tell you what they didn’t like…

Lincoln

um okay…comments 1. the colors are a bit nauseating to me and the expressions on the two people’s faces are ca-reeping me out. but those might be personal problems. the muddyness is what really kills it. 2. This is the only one that actually makes me think of drum n bass so far. its pretty tight. still a bit muddy, with all the blurring and layers, but the contrast in the type makes it all work. 3. this one doesn’t work because it doesn’t have a toaster oven in it. next time have a toaster oven 4. I’d like to see some follow-over from the last image. The coloring on the dude is a little shoddy with the almost-to-the-edge airbrushing and the background isn’t working for me. I’d prefer a flat color to the b&w music notes.

clevsone

As soon as I came home you had already posted.. damn your quick… hey guys whats up with some comments for the two young bucks…

clevsone

thanks for the comments lincoln..most appreciated… should have been a toaster oven..damn….

Beerad

First off Thank you for the comment. I went for a cleaner look this time. And since now we are looking at something that would be used a party flyer. Enjoy and I hope you feel the music.

This is a comment for the last one, the image does look clean but you can tell the images come from a photo stock place or at least it looks like that.

I dont know if matches the theme of the designologue correctly. The work is getting better though, just work on the concepts a little further.

spinning live….downtown tomorrow night…

I especially like the last two. The color scheme really speaks to me, and the sweatshirt girl is really attention grabbing.

inVZbl, why are stock photos bad? I’m new here, please explain…or is there somewhere else that explains that? Thanks.

Beerad

Yes it is a stock photo. If I had a digital camera I would of just taken a picture of myself. Still I found this one on a CD and it was close enough to the image I had in mind.

Beerad

Well our first Designologue is done. For the final image I want to thank “The Anti.Brush” for the cool brushes. One was used for the right side, I just cleaned it up a little bit.

Ready for the Next Designologue?

i hate this dsnlg like i do bad electonic music.

in general, i think the “electronic art” that goes along with electronic music is so cliche.

i have seen enough mushrooms, pyschedelic shapes and ovular motion blur vinyl disc crap things for one life time…

but, uh…. that’s just my judgement.

welcome to dsnlg.

inman

Wow, b…I want you to be Teh Official Designologue™ Greeter®

RevDrLuv

I feel like we have a new bharper. Has married life changed you my boy? Not that I disagree with you, I have just never seen you go at critique like this before.

taxicab

the nail on the head with lame theme……..

clevsone

got the point the theme was not liked…………

mort

I though the name of the theme had potential but the images were severely lacking in concept and effort.

Beerad

Well it was our first DSNLG. At lest we have started off weak and can only build up from there. Better then starting strong and falling off. I think both clevsone and myself understand how the DNSLG’s work now…

I think we moved to quick as well.

bharper

Sorry if I came off too strong.

When I first started on dsnlg, i didnt get any feedback when I did BAD designs. And believe me, I did some really shitty work. I still do sometimes.

I am just at a point in my life where i either say nothing or i speak my mind.

It’s nothing personal. I just don’t like this genre of work.

Beerad

Its all good man. I would rather have comments that tell me I am doing a bad job then nothing at all. =)

bharper

If you want, i just posted a new one in “charcoal” so you can seek your revenge on me there. I’d love some critisism.

inVZbl

I dont think the theme was a bad idea, just the approach was abit old. Dont believe there was alot of conceptualisation within the pieces.

It a starting point though, im sure your next logues will big and better with more bloodshed and adult sexual references.

inman

Don’t encourage them VZ! ;D

Beerad

ouch inman.. =( hehe

inman

Beerad, I wasn’t saying “don’t encourage them to particpate again” I was saying don’t encourage them to use “adult sexual references.” The wink is at VZ because he just had an image stricken because of that —or rather because of childish sexual references.

Beerad

ahhh, yes have been reading the chat about that one, the strike image…
