i like it, not sure what it is, but i like it…
nice job mort. i know you said not to ask, but what are the lovely ladies laying in?
You know those egg chairs from the 70s?
I really like the feeling of this.
Looks like some sort of french television show from the 80’s. Almost gives a feeling of too much comfort. Why the juxtaposition of comfortable chairs and woodlands?
The egg chair was just a source image. The composition is a multi-storey rainforest lady-park demonstrating the discomfort of nudity in the civilized world… of course!!!
oh wait…that’s right…you said, “don’t ask”
Maybe I should have listened… :P
Digging it. I just wish the forrest had the color fidelity of the lady-park. Cheers.
I hear you. I think I’m gonna have to learn to walk away from images for a while before uploading them in excitement. I always spot things I ‘d like to change straight after clicking the button. I’m glad you can’t change after uploading though or it would be a never ending process :-/
I think that’s the most oft uttered sentiment on Designologue Mort. I have a feeling I’ll share the same feeling towards that sentence in the morning. ;D
what inman just said x 2…
I guess it makes you think about it more carefully before submitting work. It has helped me in that way for work as well, instead of rushing shite all the time.
There’s a fine line though - spend too much time refining and you can end up sucking the life outta something
image 1 reminded me of a beach resort…
isn’t that Jodie Foster in the distance wearing a spacesuit?
nice! did you draw that by hand?
i drew his outline by hand and scanned him in… the beach and sky started as a photo, and the greenery was created in PS.
I’m actually stuck for ideas on this one… hoping for devine intervention ;)
his package has been emphasized
i like how the comfort is snugly wrapped around his “emphasized package”
mort: “devine intervention” sounds like a great dsnlg theme…
hmmm…some people’s spelling could use divine intervention. :p
That’s quite a package you got there son…don’t get burned…
perhaps they might accept some placement graphics for an upcoming line? …sorry, I had to. The neighbor downstairs get’s their catalog. Always worth a chuckle being a boxers/surf shorts man
orson calling mort… come in, mort. ;)
sorry man - been mad busy lately.
nice image! was this divine inspiration? ;) sorry i got impatient… i was worried you left us since i hadn’t seen any activity from you.
not exactly divine intervention, more stoned invention ;D
i was trying to carry on the theme of #1 & #2 somehow, despite their different styles.
Nice image. JCrew meets Burton snowboards, they mate, and the new swimwear line TRES comfortable is born. Snowboard Swimwear. Who’d a thunk it.
I love the texture and color scheme on this image. nice underwear you got there. hee hee hee
the previous image reminded me of snowy mountains.
“le chateau confortable” would be a nice place to be after skydiving in weather like that.
Great image, I love the snow, what a fool, droping in on a snow storm like that.
You know, I’m looking at #1 and thinking that it would have been really awesome if the seat/legs pattern just filled the entire space. That vegetation on the left gets really murky and I don’t understand why it needs to be there. The pattern, on the other hand, is fantastic.
You guys are doing a great job of carrying an element through. Keep it up!
OMG!!! Killer piece!
It is so good that it makes me speechless^_^
Agreed, this is spectacular.
A few small issues. I like the trees and ridgeline on the left, but it looks a little awkward.
The reason is that it should have continued on the other side of the house. Having stop abruptly like that kinda breaks up the visual flow of the piece, especially since the rest of the composition is so fluid. I would like to have seen just a little bit of rock and vegetation coming out from behind that side of the house. Would have really unified the whole composition.
mmhmm…lovin’ this ‘logue.
just noticed “comfortable” not “confortable” - not that it really matters.
that’s comfortable in french… :)
Those bloody French!!
I just realised a little while ago that I’m a real sucker for ornaments like that… :)
Must agree to the posting above regarding the leg-pattern - stunning! Especially with that tainted look you got to it.
May one ask how that is done? Just overlay with some tainted paper-texture or some filter tweaking?
whats going on with this? Mort where u at?
This designologue is too nice to let it go to waste…
This last image (4) is one of my favorite images that I’ve seen in a long time, I hope this Designologue isn’t finished.
