Beginning the climb out of darkness

Nice one B. It has an almost Houses of the Holy feel to it. Let me reflect on it for a couple days before I reply.

inman

The moon race is back on bitches! And leading the way is the Astro-fetish J-pop group Propel with their infectious hit single Aetherbound! Dance party in the sky like it’s 1969! (Sorry B, couldn’t sleep.)

Looking at this after posting I realize, duh, I could have used the top half of your image as the bottom half of my image (exquisite corpse-style) and started the upward momentum suggested in the title. Do over? :D That’s what I get for designologuing at 4 in the morning.

bharper

If I had to pick a background track to go with this dsnlg, i think it would probably be My Moon My Man by Feist. It sort of has that ethereal poppy sound to it.

I like where this is headed.

zdoob

YES! inman and bharper facing off. please bharper, spare us from another photo of you in lingerie.

@inman: exquisite corpse-style would’ve been killer - great idea… oh well, i’m sure you guys will rock this one out.

bharper

still climbing

looks like things just got a little dirtier

inman

Nice comeback B. I’m really digging the colors you kicked this off with but it’s time to mix things up.

inman

Three up, Neapolitan-style. Fuel for thought.

Here’s the original three full-size responses to image three: LOX, STOX (my fav) and BRRL.

bharper

wow. triptic!!!

lot’s of options opening up. glad you changed up the color scheme.

tacosaurus

well would you just look at you two…

inman

well would you just look at you one…how you been taco?

bharper

It took me a few tries before I came up with something decent here…

wanted to keep this one moving up. Hopefully it rises to the occasion.

maybe the pink and blue text is TOO much..

i like how it carries the vertical bar theme across, and splits into more sections.. carry on.

RevDrLuv

Dear lord B this is gorgeous. Someone’s been schoolin themselves.

Oh and it’s with Inman. Funny, I was just thinking of jumpin back in myself.

inman

B, Sorry for the silent treatment, I was away this weekend. I’ll see if I can’t get something back to you tomorrow. Did you guys see that Photoshop (now Layer) Tennis is back?

RevDrLuv

PShop Tennis is dead to me. They promised the world, then went on hiatus. Wasn’t someone here supposed to be playing the next tourney? I mean other than you Inman.

inman

Let’s get carried away.

What is this? The vertical rhythm of the previous image defines where the waves peak. The waves themselves are four pixel slivers of my previous triptych interweaved every twelve pixels. I also brought back the PROPEL hook from my first image.

Now to get my completion time down from an hour and a half to 15 minutes for this upcoming LT match with BSR…

bharper

I liked it better about twelve copy & pastes ago, but there’s no going back now

I now how I want this to end, it will be interesting to see if you take it where I think it’s going…

really enjoyed this one shaun!

inman

Nowhere to go but up.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking…

from dark to light, from the bottom to the top..

fun stuff!

inman

Eep! Probably my most restrained DSNLG image ever. You should see all the layers I removed at the last minute. In the end I opted for a 180’d and inverted version of your starting image and overlaid the cyan and magenta from the last couple of images to tie it in. Unfortunately, this image appears lower contrast in the browser than designed. Oh well. Thanks for the match B.

Lincoln

Aay! I’m late to the party.

great stuff. Especially the middle 4.

and Inman, I saw your match with Bearskin and wanted to let you know it made for a splendid Friday afternoon’s entertainment.
